Raze Permit Filed to Make Way for H Street Whole Foods

H Street will get yet another pizza joint.

H Street Storage will be razed this summer or in early fall.

The developers of the future site of a mixed-use project  that includes a new Whole Foods grocer on H Street, NE filed for a raze permit for Murray’s and  H Street Self Storage on April 14. The buildings to be raised are located at 624 and 616 H St. NE.

The development will include 430 multi-family units and about 90,000 square feet of retail, including the first Whole Foods in Northeast D.C.  As previously reported the project team has a verbal agreement with a health club for approximately 25,000 square feet of space, but that agreement has not been formally finalized or publicly announced.

Insight Property Group, LLC could break ground on the project by the third quarter of 2014, as we previously reported. The project  is on schedule to deliver before the end of 2016.
